A designer and a photographer? Mark Burley trained in graphic design but since he was old enough to hold a camera his passion has been for photography.
Photography has always played a large part in effective communications and despite the advancements of digital photography, good photography is a technical skill that requires as much learning and dedication as any academic subject.
Mark has used Photoshop since version one and is one of the most accomplished retouchers in the area. More recently he has honed his photographic skills to offer this as a separate service to clients for annual reports, newsletters, promotional pieces, catalogues and websites.
As well as digital photography, Mark has been developing (excuse the pun) his skills in traditional film photography and darkroom techniques. This form of photography is more akin to fine art and is sold in art galleries. However, some of the images can find themselves in a client’s brochure!
